Dr. Hector Rodriguez-Luna is committed to providing his patients with the best gastro-intestinal care. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Internal Medicine and American Board of Gastroenterology. Following medical school, he completed a residency in internal medicine at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Louisiana, and fellowship training in gastroenterology, liver diseases and liver transplantation at the VA/Good Samaritan Medical Center and Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Dr. Rodriguez-Luna is certified in general gastroenterology procedures, such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.as well as advanced procedures such as enteroscopy, capsule endoscopies, Endoluminal Fundoplication™, and ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography).

He also has special training in liver transplantation, liver diseases and pancreatobiliary disorders. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian. To stay knowledgeable of the latest treatment options available in the field, he maintains professional membership with the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. A published author, Dr. Rodriguez’s articles have appeared in multiple peer review journal publications and book chapters of international prestige on liver diseases and gastroenterology. Some journals where he has published are: Transplantation, American Journal of Transplantation, Current Opinion in Infectious Diseases, Digestive Diseases and Sciences, Clinics in Liver Diseases, and Minerva Gastroenterologica e Dietologica (Italy).

His research has been focused on: Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, State of the art imaging techniques and capsule endoscopy, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Liver Diseases, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Hepatocellular carcinoma, Liver Transplantation and Portal and splenic vein thrombosis.

Dr. Borsatto is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Gastroenterology. After graduating from the Medicine faculty of Botucatu at the Sao Paulo State Univeristy in Brazil, he completed an internal medicine residency at The Kern Medical Center (a UCLA affiliated program) in Bakersfield, California.

After Internal medicine; he completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology with Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center.

He is trained in gastrointestinal endoscopy, pancreatobiliary disorders and capsule endoscopy. –Besides English, he speaks: Portuguese, Spanish and French.

Dr. Patrick Lam, DO

Dr. Patrick Lam is Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Gastroenterology. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Lam achieved a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lam then completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Following his Residency, Dr. Lam completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. He is trained in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, as well as advanced procedures such as enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy and ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography).

Dr. Lam recognizes the importance of staying current on the latest advancements in gastroenterology and internal medicine and as such, he maintains memberships in The American College of physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastroentestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Kandarp Patel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Gastroenterology. Dr. Patel has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Genetics, a Master of Physiology and Biophysics, and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed an internal medicine residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. To further his knowledge, he accepted a Fellowship in Gastroenterology with Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. Dr. Patel, like Dr. Rodriguez-Luna and Dr. Ricardo Borsatto, believes in the same founding principles of commitment to quality and compassionate care. To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and internal medicine, he maintains memberships in many professional organizations, such as the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology Association, and Arizona Gastroenterology Society.
